the about
jennifer's body centers around a small town (called devil's kettle, our inspiration) girl, named jennifer check, who gets inproperly sacrificed to satan by an indie rock band and becomes posessed by a demon. in order to live, she must consume human flesh, and decides to eat the boys in her high school. when jennifer targets chip (johnny simmons), her best friend, needy's (amanda seyfried) boyfriend, it's up to needy to save the town from jennifer. the movie opens up on september 18th, and was written by diablo cody and directed by karyn kusamma.

Rotten Tomatoes, a review archive that determines whether a movie is 'rotten' (good) or 'fresh' (bad). So far, only 10 Jennifer's Body reviews have been posted by critics, and things aren't looking too good. It's 20% rotten, good or what the fuck ever (I don't get how this site works), which means only 2 of the 10 reviews were really positive. Check out the some of the reviews below:

The thing is, critics are mostly middle-aged men who talk shit in fancy wording because they impressed people with said fancy wording. I do not, and have never, rely on critics, and you shouldn't either. They are not the movie's target audience, nor should they have the right to tell us what movies to go see. One man's trash is another man's treasure, right? And alot of people are offing it out because they're, likely, weirdly jealous of Megan or something, but Roger Ebert is praising Megan's acting, so check it out! With that being said, the UK reviews are looking pretty good judging by the UK poster (above), can't wait for those!

Megan gives us '5 Reasons to Love Jennifer's Body'

At the Toronto International Film Festival, there's something downright deliciously seductive about Jennifer's Body. The movie, which opens Friday, centers on "salty" cheerleader Jennifer Check (Megan Fox), who literally devours her fellow male classmates after a sacrificial ritual gone wrong leaves her possessed by an incredibly hungry demonic presence. Fox spoke with reporters over the weekend, dressed in a stunning black dress in front of a room full of journalists, and is confident people will look beyond her curves in this, her first starring role. She offered five reasons why audiences will eat Jennifer's Body up.

1. Laughs and Scares: Written by Oscar-winning Juno writer Diablo Cody, the movie is chock-full of snappy dialogue and humor. "I think it's an irreverent comedy with horror elements," Fox said. "It's not a fantastical depiction of a warped high school experience, but kinda. To me, it watches like an 80's movie, like a really bad-ass comedic '80s film with bizarre horror elements."

2. High school is hell: Jennifer's BFF is the nerdy Anita "Needy" Lesnicki (Amanda Seyfried), but Fox revealed that she was once the butt of catty girl attitude. "I was never mean," Fox insists. "That's not a joke. There were actually some evil girls, and I went to Christian High School. Go figure. Girls can be really cruel and awful. There was one Halloween, and I had been trying to be an actress when I was 15. Everyone knew that my aspiration in life was to become an actress. One of the girls came to school on Halloween in a black leather cat suit. Everyone thought maybe she was Catwoman. 'What are you? We don't get it.' She was like 'Nah, I'm Megan Fox!' She was making fun of me because apparently she thought I thought I was really cool because I was going to be an actress. I was targeted. I didn't say anything to her. I was really shy."

3. There will be blood ... and other icky fluids!: This is a horror flick, so expect tense moments, snapping bones and gushers of spewing bodily fluids. "As far as the blood goes, I was covered in a lot," Fox says. "They were really heavy-handed in it, because that's how they wanted it to look in the movies. So my wardrobe was saturated in it, and I was covered in it."
What about the black stuff coming out of her mouth? "[It] was a combination of two things," she says. "The first pass, where I scream and it involuntarily projects out of my mouth, was Hershey's syrup. I would just put it in the back of my throat, scream, and let it come out, so something would be trickling from my mouth for the special-effects team to do the next setup. There's a tube that I basically bite onto, and there's a tube that comes out of the side of my mouth. It projected with such force you had to have a pretty strong bite to keep it in your mouth. I remember they wanted it to get on Amanda, and she didn't want it to get on her. We did four takes trying to make her sit still so we could get it on her, because she kept involuntarily moving out of the way."

4. A Kiss Between Friends: Jennifer does plenty of lip-smacking after feasting on her victims, but it's a lip-locking scene between her and Needy that is destined for water-cooler chatter. "I felt that was so awkward and quiet," Fox recalls. "There's no score underneath. It was really awkward to film. I would say it's easier kissing someone who you know doesn't want to kiss you. That's more comfortable than going into a scene with somebody who is anticipating it or might enjoy it. That's worse in a work environment. I knew she was clearly not excited about it. We were both nervous, and they cleared the set completely of anyone who didn't absolutely have to be there. We laughed, it was embarrassing, and we got through it. It wasn't the worst thing I did on the shoot. It is what it is, and it's not meant to be a gratuitous girl-on-girl sex scene in the movie. I think it's a shame that it's so sensationalized in the media, because the movie is so much more original than that."

5. Even more girl-on-girl action: On top of the same-sex smooching, Jennifer and Needy slug it out in a midair supernatural struggle. "They took body casts of our torsos, and there's a front and back body pans which are rigged in the bed," Fox reveals. "One of us would be laying on our backs in the pan, and the other would be on her stomach on the pan. And it wasn't comfortable, especially the person on your stomach. It takes a lot of core strength. It was kind of painful, and we shot the bedroom scene for three days, all day, with 12-hour days. It was physically pretty tiring. There was a lot of struggling, fighting and screaming. That was a difficult scene to get through."

I really liked this interview and this side of Megan! They don't do much talking about the movie, but they talk about her personal life, her insecurity issues and her up-coming appearence in SNL. Check it out!

In this one, interviews with Megan, Amanda and Diablo were shown. They asked Megan why she chose to act in the movie, what was Diablo's inspiration behind it and, predicatably, asked Amanda about The Kiss.
